I've Been Busy, OK?

Well, well, well. Here we are. Sorry for the recent abandonment...I've actually been a busy bee the past several days at work (Grant writing. Gimme yo' money!)

Friday, Jake and I managed to fill our social calendar to the brim, and do all of the things in my last post, waaaay back a whole week ago. We went to see Baobab at the Wexner Center, had dinner at Hound Dogs, listened to some original music and poetry on Iuka, and spent the rest of the night at R Bar in the Arena District.

Columbus is the home of Limited Brands founder Les Wexner. The Wexner Center is named for his father, and LES (I can call him that, cuz I've seen him speak, so we're basically BFFs) continues to be a major supporter of the facility.
The Wexner Center opened in November 1989. Conceived as a research laboratory for all the arts, it has emphasized commissions for new work and artist residencies since its inception. Its multidisciplinary programs encompass performing arts, exhibitions, and media arts (film/video) and have focused on cutting-edge culture from around the globe.

Visit "The Wex" if you're able. It's on the Ohio State campus. They have tons of programming for all types interests and age groups. We started a membership there and I can't wait to start going to some events!
