The Green Album

Herro Friends!

Are you interested in seeing the Muppet Movie? I am. I really like Jason Segel, and I think it's awesome that he wrote and created a whole new story for the Muppets. He impresses me. Much like the Spice Girls Reunion Tour, they've done a pretty good job of generating hype over a semi-forgotten genre. Sesame Street was My Jam, yo. I also recall both loving and being terrified of the Muppet Christmas Carol. That Ghost of Christmas Past is a creepy bitch if I ever saw one. She'll haunt your face right off your face, for real.

Puppeting is kind of cool. When I saw Avenue Q, I was completely and pleasantly surprised by how easily the puppeteers vanished and focus fell on the puppet characters.

Plus, NPR did me a favor by posting The Green Album a few months ago. Some of the currently hip and popular musicians covering Muppet songs? Yes please! Who doesn't love a good cover song? I'm super partial to Rainbow Connection. Listen, and then go see the movie. Take your wife, take your kids...
