Planetarium Date

Visitors view an astronomy show in the planetarium of the Robert McCullough Science Center at Observatory Park in Montville, Ohio on May 25.
Scott Galvin, Columbus Dispatch

When was the last time you went to a planetarium? I remember the one at the "Old COSI", but hadn't been in one until a few months ago.

The OSU Planetarium has shows a few times a week that are open to the public, so Mike and I have been going on space dates! We took our friends Jeff and Jess with us the last time, but tonight it was just the two of us. It's trippy to look up into a night sky that is moving and twirling around you, but we've really enjoyed the experience. It's a little romantic, to sit under a starlit "sky", and we like to follow it up with a night cap before heading home.

Plus the nerds inside us get to learn about planets, a bit of history, and constellations (did you know at the Big Dipper isn't actually a constellation? We just found out tonight!).

Mike's favorite course in college was astronomy, so this is an especially fun date night for him.
