The Big Reveal

Well, I'm exhausted today. Want to know why? I had a non-stop weekend of redecorating and remodeling at my parents house. Last week I posted about an upcoming "DIY project" and also that my parents were headed out of town to Louisville, as a Christmas present from my sisters and I.

The two are related- we sent them away so we could complete a surprise makeover to our childhood bedrooms. We each had a room to handle, and these pictures are of the room Mike and I worked on.

Over the course of the past 10 years or so, our rooms have become "storage", filled with clutter, and decorated by 15 year old girls. My parents talk constantly about wanting to make a change, but have such busy lives, they've not been able to take on such a daunting task.

My childhood bedroom has become "The Guest Room", with a real bed for two actual adults.

We enlisted the help of our boyfriends and fiance, and each couple tackled a bedroom. We're so pleased with the results:
