I dont like to enter games or contests
because it's so disappointing when I don't win...
I'm happy to have a sister lunch with Jamie today.
It's Sibs Weekend at OU where she goes to school, but Kristen is out of town, and I couldn't visit Athens, so we're hanging out in Columbus instead :)
Spent yesterday reading a blog with some sad, sad content.
I feel like it did me some good though because being the worrywart I am, it gave me a chance to freak out about something I hadn't really considered before, and now, if I'm ever faced with such a tragedy, I think I might be better prepared (is this an appropriate time to knock on wood?)
Finished my goal of watching all 10 best picture oscar nominees
As of last night...saw black swan with my sister. We liked it. I'll give some feedback and thoughts in another upcoming post :)
Looking forward to a Friday night out
with some friends from home...looking even more forward to a Saturday Pretend Getaway with Jake. We had planned to take a weekend trip, but other things got in the way, so now we're Pretending.

Thank You, Pope Gelasius
Watch. Holiday appropriate. Cute :)
Last Valentine's day, I lived in Memphis. Jake and I had to share our first Valentine's Day apart. We celebrated by ordering matching pizzas from Dominos (pepperoni and jalepeno), watching Julie & Julia at the same time in our seperate locations. We Skyped as we dined and watched. It wasn't SO bad, but I'm glad that we'll be together this year.
We're not planning much, as he has class this evening and I'll be busy watching The Bachelor with my ladyfriends, but he did bring me flowers at work! What a great Valentine :)
I hope you have a lovely day, whether you're romantically attached or not...

(Gush Gush, Boyfriend)
This weekend, Jake reminded me that I am a pretty fortunate woman. He...
- ...watched a very painful 5th grade basketball game with me while I was nannying
- ...bought groceries for dinner and helped me cook when I know he wanted to watch football
- ...massaged the knots out of my shoulders, unasked and at length
- ...offered to take my dog out so I could stay with my extremely separation anxious nanny charge (also unasked)
- ...slept at my house so my dog wouldn't be lonely and told me that although he doesn't love my dog, he loves me and I should never be afraid to ask him to do stupid stuff for her.
This is all after I was a massive b-word to him on Saturday morning for no apparent reason. He's putting me to shame in the "Awesome Significant Other" awards category...
