For Day 7 of Blogtember we're sharing links to favorite online shops.
I'm not much of an online shopper, nor am I much of a shopper in general. Sometimes I'll go out and buy a bunch of new clothes, but I'd say that's about once a year- more like Back to School shopping than anything else, and I don't care for online shopping too much because I feel like the products are never what I expect them to be. I get pretty bad buyers remorse, so a product that isn't right makes me double insane when I feel like I shouldn't have purchased it.
That said, one shop I look at a lot is Erstwhile Jewelry. I like vintage jewelry, partially for the look of it, partially because of it's history and partially because of it's "social responsibility". Vintage is "in", and I like it because it's always more unique and elaborate than things produced currently. Historically speaking, I like to imagine the things the piece has seen, the other people who have worn it and what they might have been like- what their story was. I also think it's silly to keep taking from the Earth (i.e. precious stone mining) when there are already thousands of beautiful options.
I've never actually purchased anything from Erstwhile (mostly because my bank account won't allow it), but it's one of the extremely few shops I peruse with any regularity.
