Yes, I Watch "The Bachelor"

It's my guilty pleasure show and I love to hate it.

On Monday's episode Chris-The-Bachelor did something a unprecedented. He singled out a girl during a group date, took her off site, and treated her to what amounted to a one on one date in the middle of conversations with several other women.

As they do, the girls cried. But for the very first time, I felt that they were justified. Typically my opinion is that they signed up for the show, and they know how this goes. This time, however, I understood their angst.

It was rude. It was inconsiderate. It was hurtful and degrading. I hope Chris finds the right women because he seems like a generally decent guy, but if it were me? If it were ME, I would have walked away from the show right then and there. He is entitled to his happiness, but I would no longer wish to compete at such a "disadvantage", seeing his disregard for me, in favor of another woman.

Did anyone else watch and feel the same?

#bachelornation was surprisingly quiet about it!

  1. I am catching up on your blog posts, so don't think I'm stalking you.... but I TOTALLY agree. I find him to be very immature, and frankly very dull. He doesn't seem considerate at all (is being from a small town to blame? Who knows). I didn't care for Ashley or Kelsey, but I also disliked how he threw them both under the bus on the 2-on-1 date. I read his blog on people.com, and it seems like the entire thing he's trying to defend his actions, which tells me he's a person who's always right and never wrong.

So yeah, anyway, I agree. I would've been out of there!
