I've got a great group of strong-ass, independent woman friends, but for as resourceful and independent as we are, we're pretty codependent when it comes to entertaining each other.
We often share work stories (hilarious and frustrating) or life updates (how's the baby, that appointment you had, that game you saw?) by text message- which means my phone is blowing up all day long, and I can never catch up on all the hilarity.
A few weeks ago, after a particularly epic (and I mean that in the way you talk about the Odyssey) story about some hilarious coworker interactions we realized we needed a solution. We can't sit and stare at our phones all day to keep up, after all!
We started using GROUPME. It's an app that lets you message with whatever group of people you want. You can use it from your phone, but also on your desktop, making daytime antics far easier on us all! It was founded several years ago, so we're probably behind the times, but it's been a great way to share pictures, stories and grievances all day long with my girls.
I recommend it to anyone who has a big group to stay in touch with, and doesn't want to be tied to their phone.
